Our Story

Since 2003, Taffard Fabrics has been guided by a simple belief: exceptional interiors deserve exceptional textiles. Our name says where we began, with taffetas and jacquards. Today our collection spans solids, textures, sheers, velvets and cut piles, prints, and the intricate embroideries we are known for.

We are a family-owned, independent company based in New York, working with designers, architects, purchasing firms and hospitality professionals around the world, and with skilled artisans and mills who bring generations of textile knowledge to every order.

What Sets Us Apart

We are more than a fabric supplier: we are a creative, technical and sourcing partner. Clients come to us with a hand-drawn sketch, a magazine clipping or a family heirloom to reinterpret, or start from one of our own patterns. Our designers and production team adjust color, scale, ground fabric, construction and threadwork to fit the vision, the performance requirements, the budget and the timeline.

We sweat the details, from thread density and color accuracy to fire ratings, lead times and cost targets, and every project gets the same care, whether it is a single custom pillow or thousands of yards for a hotel.

Sourcing Beyond the Collection

When a project needs something outside our collection, our network of mills lets us source the right textile: taffetas, solids, sheers, velvets, prints, performance fabrics and more. We review constructions, coordinate samples, negotiate pricing and oversee production, from a single request to a recent 6,000-yard taffeta order for luxury jewelry displays.

Hospitality & Contract

Trusted by leading luxury hotel groups, we offer a line of inherently fire-retardant fabrics, can topically treat our fabrics to pass fire codes, and can convert most of our designs to inherently fire-retardant qualities. We keep an eye on price without compromising quality, and ship directly from our factories to your site.
