This information is collected through cookies, server logs, and similar technologies (see “Cookies and Similar Technologies” below).

Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from payment processors (such as confirmation that a payment was completed), shipping carriers (such as delivery status), credit reporting or trade reference services when you apply for credit terms, and business partners such as showrooms or sales representatives who refer you to us.

  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms and Conditions, and protect our rights and the rights of others.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that allow the Site to function and remember your preferences.

  • Essential cookies are required for the Site to operate, including keeping you logged in, remembering the contents of your cart, and securing your session. These cannot be disabled.
  • Functional cookies remember your preferences, such as language or previously viewed items.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. These may be set by third-party analytics providers.
  • Marketing cookies may be used to measure the effectiveness of our communications.

We currently use Google Analytics (Google LLC) to understand how visitors use the Site, and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) to record how pages are used, such as scrolling, clicking and mouse movement, so we can improve the Site. Clarity recordings mask the text you type. Both tools set cookies only after you accept non-essential cookies in the cookie banner, and you can withdraw that choice at any time by clearing your browser’s cookies. Google’s practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy and Microsoft’s at privacy.microsoft.com.

Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can also control cookies through your browser settings; note that disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the Site from working properly.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:

  • Service providers: companies that perform services on our behalf, including website hosting and e-commerce platform providers, payment processors, shipping carriers and freight forwarders, email and marketing platforms, analytics providers, accounting and IT support, and third-party finishers or treatment providers when you request such services. These providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Showrooms and sales representatives: independent showrooms or representatives that serve your region may receive your contact and order information to assist with your account.
  • Credit and collections: credit reporting agencies, trade references, and collection agencies in connection with credit applications or unpaid balances.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety or that of others, or to investigate fraud.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, your information may be transferred to the successor entity.
  • With your consent: for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection or with your direction.

Payment Information

Payments made through the Site are processed by third-party payment processors. Your full card or bank details are transmitted directly to the processor and are not stored on our servers. The processor's handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy. For orders paid by check, wire, or ACH outside the Site, we retain only the information necessary to record and reconcile the payment.

Marketing Communications

If you subscribe to our mailing list or open a trade account, we may send you emails about new collections, showroom events, and company news. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email or by contacting us at taffard@taffard.com. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional messages about your orders or account.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including maintaining your account and order history, complying with tax, accounting, and legal record-keeping obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your account password confidential and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
